rxqueennn: off-my-chest: This is just a small snippet of the horrendous bigotry that has been posted on the UKHC facebook page over the last 24 hours. I think its fucking disgraceful, genuinely feel like washing my hands of ‘hardcore’ at the moment.  So so sick of people who have been in band X and band Y and have been in the scene for this many years who go around as if their opinion is finite regardless of how ignorant it is. This cunt who posted in the picture above has been around for years and still manages to produce this verbal diarrhoea. I can’t see myself sticking around if in 15 years time i’m going to be surrounded by middle aged people acting like uneducated 14 year olds. I could go on and on but whatever, listen to emo the shows are better, the people are nicer, the bands actually have an ounce of fucking musicianship AND there is a chance that people may have read at least half a book in their lifetime in that community. Fuck. I had to block him man, his posts annoy me every day. People on that group are either ‘I have a black neighbour, can I have a cookie? I can speak for that entire group.’ or ‘Words aren’t offensive at all, I’m a white straight male so I’ve never been called one and degraded with it so I’m going to say it’s not offensive, even though I have no clue.’ types. Both need to fuck off really. All the genuine people in the scene, I’m already friends/acquaintances with, so at least at shows I’m not surrounded by retards. I’ve only recently got into emo, you need to recommend me some bands! UKHC used to be so awesome 10 years ago. Dunno what the fuck happened if this is the kinda shit people talk these days.
